Calendula has been known to help sensitive skin, for healing rashes, chapped skin, scratches, some insect bites, and minor burns. Calendula is known to be anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral. My Calendula Oil is made from the dried petals of the Calendula flower (Calendula officinalis). I make my Calendula oil by steeping Calendula petals in warm olive oil for 2 weeks. I then strain this oil and use as the base to this soap. I add a bit of Calendula petals throughout the soap for additional appearance. I leave my Calendula soap unscented so those looking for a gentle soap don't have to worry about additional fragrances that may cause irritation.
This soap comes wrapped in an attractive and informative paper wrapper, as seen on the third picture. To prolong the life of your bar of soap, simply keep it out of a puddle of water and in a well draining soap dish.
